yes...hair relaxer doesn't change until it grows out basically. Your roots will start to go back curly within a couple of weeks...that's why you hav to get it re-done approx every six weeks. But after you wash your hair...or it gets wet...sometimes it makes your roots a little bit curlier...but that's usually after they have already started to grow back in...bcuz water naturally makes curly hair curl up more.Does hair relaxer stay working after being in water?

the chemical inside the relaxer sticks to your hair
forever the only way to get it out is if your hair grows or you cut it out. but don't get your hair wet within two days of getting a relaxer unless to you want it to fall out.
