Hair relaxer?

i had my hair relaxed like a month ago (at a salon) and i had some what wavy hair. So i got it relaxed and its wavy again. i have no idea why. Could it be that i still straighten my hair?

HELP

And also when i go so sleep and my hair is wet it goes completely wavy not at the ends why is that?Hair relaxer?
You still have to straighten your hair with heat when you get a relaxer (that's why they usually use heat from blow drying, and flat ironing and curler/dryer sets after you get one.) Relaxers loosen your curls/waves and make them more manageable/easier to straighten. My former beautician once told me that the more you get relaxers the straighter your hair will be.

As far as your roots being completely wavy, it's because that's ';new growth'; or hair that has just grown in and has not yet been relaxed. You will need to get touch ups or another relaxer to straighten your roots (Just like when people die their hair blonde and they naturally have red hair, when their hair grows it's not going to be blonde, so they have to die their roots to make it the same as the rest of their hair) If you don't, all the hair that you've relaxed will begin to snap off as your ';new growth'; gets longer. That's why when people want their natural hair back they have to cut off all the hair they've relaxed, because your hair will grow with your natural hair texture and the relaxed hair usually can't compete with it.

Wishing you the best!Hair relaxer?
